1) Junior/Entry-Level Cost Analyst

Junior/Entry-Level Position Description
Assist Senior Cost Analysts in performing cost analyses of a variety of high technology Department of Defense (DoD) weapon and automated information systems, including aircraft, ships, electronics, missiles and tracked vehicles. These analyses help senior DoD officials make difficult resource allocation decisions. You will assist senior analysts in performing research projects and program cost analysis support. Your cost analysis tasks will include: 1) development of new cost estimating methods using quantitative analysis techniques (e.g., statistical analysis of the relationship between cost and technical parameters such as weight and speed, etc.); 2) application of these methods to estimate the life cycle cost of next generation DoD systems; 3) development of historical databases that support these modeling and estimating activities; and 4) written and oral presentation of your analyses to Technomics' clients and Senior Cost Analysts.

Required Experience/Qualifications
US citizenship required for security clearance. BA/BS, MA/MS, or MBA; minimum overall GPA of 3.0 (out of 4.0). Strong quantitative skills related to one or more of the following disciplines: math, statistics, operations research, engineering, economics, finance and computer science. Required coursework: Statistics (including probability theory and regression techniques) and Calculus. Desired coursework: Micro/Macro Economics, Advanced Statistics (such as nonparametrics or design of experiments), Econometrics, Cost Accounting, Finance I (or Engineering Economics), Introduction to Programming. Strong written, presentation and conversation skills. Other qualifications of a successful candidate: creative problem solver, critical thinker, effective working both independently and as a team performer, interest in defense systems/technologies, strong spreadsheet modeler, desire and ability to work multiple projects, ability to quickly absorb cost, technical, and programmatic information about new systems.

2) Junior/Entry-Level Cost Analyst & Programmer

Junior/Entry-Level & Programmer Position Description
We are seeking an individual with 0 to 3 years of experience. The ideal applicant will possess both strong analytical skills and some real world programming experience, preferably in Visual Basic. You will fulfill the roles of both a programmer and a cost analyst.

As a programmer, you will work with a research team that is responsible for developing a computer software tool. The tool's purpose is to estimate the cost and schedule of large DoD software development projects. This assignment requires a combination of skills and knowledge areas including:
